I was trained through Color Guru, a respected leader in personalized seasonal color analysis.
I assess your natural skin tone, eye, and hair color to find your most flattering color palette—one of the four seasons and then a more specific sub-season.
Your season is determined through a professional color consultation. Carisa evaluates your undertones, contrast level, and natural coloring to identify your seasonal color type—Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter. Each season has its own color palette, which helps you shop smarter and look your best year-round.
Absolutely! Color analysis can transform your personal style and save you time and money. You’ll stop buying clothes that don’t suit you and start creating a wardrobe that makes you feel confident every day. Clients often say working with Carisa is a game-changer for their self-image and shopping habits.
No, at this time we do not offer virtual appointments.
After your session with The Funky Zebras of Clear Lake, you’ll receive a customized color card to take shopping or use at home. Start building a wardrobe using your recommended seasonal shades. These colors will help you look radiant, polished, and put-together—without second-guessing your outfit choices.
Warm skin tones have yellow or golden undertones, cool skin tones have pink or blue undertones, and neutral skin tones have a mix of both. Carisa uses expert techniques during your color analysis to identify your undertone and match it to your best seasonal color palette.
Yes! Your color season affects more than just clothing. It helps you choose the most flattering makeup shades—from foundation to lipstick. After your consultation, Carisa can guide you toward makeup that complements your unique coloring and highlights your natural beauty.
I do apply lipstick and I provide recommendations for makeup shades that match your season—including foundation, blush, and lip colors thru Seint with Katie. You are able to purchase makeup at the session thru her or do a more in depth analysis with her after the consult.
Most clients only need one color analysis in their lifetime. However, if you’ve experienced major changes—like going gray naturally or dramatically changing your hair color—you may want to revisit your session to ensure your palette still fits your current look.
Definitely! Color analysis isn’t just for women. Men benefit by discovering which shirt, tie, or suit colors help them look more put-together and confident. Carisa works with male clients at The Funky Zebras of Clear Lake to create easy, wearable wardrobes that align with their personal season.
You can wear black if you love it! I’ll show you how to style it in a way that works for your coloring—personal style always comes first.

Yes! True red, off-white, periwinkle, and varying shades of navy tend to be universally flattering across all seasons.
Keep it! Style is personal. But remember: colors closest to your face (tops, scarves, lipstick, etc.) have the biggest impact. Shoes, bags, and bottoms are great places to play with off-palette favorites.
Yes, but we focus on your natural coloring. Hair is part of the big picture, especially if it contrasts or blends with your skin and eyes or is natural vs colored.
Sub-seasons give you a more specific and accurate palette based on your tone and contrast level—helping you fine-tune your wardrobe even more.
A slight tan won’t impact your results, but a strong artificial or sun tan can shift your appearance. We aim to analyze you in your most natural state.
Not at all. I look at overall undertones and patterns—not surface redness or blemishes—so your results will still be accurate.
It comes in waves! I often notice patterns by region or time of year, but I see a full mix of all seasons.
Not always! While genetics can influence coloring, it’s common for family members to fall into different seasons based on subtle variations in skin tone, eye color, and contrast.

Let’s get something out of the way right off the bat:
If you love black, I’m not going to tell you to stop wearing it. Personal style always comes first, and there’s room in every wardrobe for pieces that make you feel confident and powerful—even if they’re not your “perfect” color.
If you’ve ever stood in front of your closet and wondered why some outfits make you glow while others leave you looking washed out, you’re not alone. That was me 4 years ago and I found out that’s where seasonal color analysis comes in—an amazing tool to help you dress in harmony with your natural coloring. Me, I was a winter and I fought my colors for oh so long. I would not let that be you.
Rose gold jewelry has become a modern favorite—it’s warm, romantic glow is everywhere from wedding rings to everyday accessories. But here’s the big question: Does rose gold work for every season and skin tone?
